What do Thomas
Jefferson, Ralph Waldo Emerson and Clara Barton
have in common?
They were all
Unitarian Universalists! Attend one of our
services to find out
why!
We currently meet every Sunday
at 9 and 11AM at 2324 Miller Ave. in
Escondido. Childcare is provided for children from 1 to 5 years old. Religious
education is available for children K-8.
Please stay after the
worship service for coffee and conversation. Everyone is
quite friendly and we realize that meeting new people is
difficult. Please feel free to ask anyone about the
congregation or find our minister,
Rev. Margo McKenna, for more information.
Getting Acquainted
and Involved
We come
together in many ways to offer mutual support to our various
journeys. We welcome you to join our community.
It is often easier to become
acquainted through small group activities. Chalice offers
extensive opportunities for involvement.
Committees and groups are generally small and friendly, and
are an excellent way to meet people and become part of the
Chalice community. So
select a committee or group that looks interesting and try
it out. You don't have to decide at your first meeting. Also check the
newsletter and
monthly
calendar for special events, meetings, social action
programs.
Your service is always needed, in
small ways and large, to keep the church functioning. Can
you pull weeds? Can you sing? Can you sell books after the
service? Can you arrange flowers? Giving and receiving help
are simple gifts benefiting both the giver and the receiver.
Thanks for your interest in our congregation.
We hope that we will see you in the near future!
