WAYS TO HELP OUR WIDER COMMUNITY – “Everything is connected.”

Our UU Justice Ministry of California created a link to “Tell Your State Representatives: I Support #Health4All Californians!”  Add your voice to others from Chalice, MICOP, CAUSE and throughout CA who met with legislators on Zoom for Immigrant Lobby Day, May 11.  Ask legislators for their support: https://uujmca.salsalabs.org/health4all2020/index.html?eType=EmailBlastContent&eId=82884ac2-021f-4e6f-9d18-cc9ea17c5ffb

Can you share stimulus funds?  Click here: https://805undocufund.org/donate/  This collective effort by Ventura and Santa Barbara County-based grassroots organizations assists local undocumented immigrant individuals and families who are excluded from federally funded safety net programs and are suffering due to disasters in our community like wildfires, mudslides, and the coronavirus.

Adelante Comunidad Conejo – Lisa Bortman set up Thursdays from 10:30 to 12:30pm for Chalice donations of food and supplies (TP, soap, detergent) to be received by Adelante at the United Methodist Church on Janss Rd.  If you can’t make that time, please leave your donation on Lisa’s front stoop for a Thursday delivery, or contact Barbara Leighton, beleighton@yahoo.com.  Adelante is a small 501c3 group serving local families who may lack transportation and have been hard hit by coronavirus shut-downs.  Volunteers can help with deliveries.  All donations are really appreciated.  Please see: www.adelantecomunidadconejo.org
