Nurturing Beauty in a Broken World

Sunday Service at 10 AM

Love is Stronger than Death

Sunday Service at 10 AM
This Easter Sunday we explore the nature of love and its power to outlast even death. Join us for a Unitarian Universalist interpretation of the Easter story, as well as our traditional, annual Flower Celebration. Please bring a flower to share with your fellow Chalice folk, or if you are joining us by zoom, have flowers ready at home. If you are able to join us in person you will also see the amazing chalk art paintings created around our buildings by Chalice families. We will also be collecting household items for refugees during this service.

Awakening our Bodies

Sunday Service at 10 AM
Our bodies are extraordinary vessels through which we experience life and this existence. Yet often we struggle with our bodies, seeing them as somehow separate from our mind and heart. Today, we explore how we awaken our bodies, listen to, and integrate them to get the fullest experience of life possible. Today we also welcome new members into our midst and celebrate them with a post service bring-your-own lunch and tour of the facilities.

Faith in our Future

“We are the ones we have been waiting for,” wrote June Jordan in her “Poem for South African Women,” which she presented at the U.N. in August 1978. Today, we hear from long time members as well as younger, newer members about what inspires them about Chalice and gives them faith in our future. Join us for an inspirational service, helping us renew our faith and reminding us we are the ones we have been waiting for.

Widening the Circle

Poet Rainer Maria Rilke talked about living his life in widening circles. But what do we mean when we talk about widening the circle? What circles are we expanding? To include what or whom? Join us today to explore this month’s theme of ‘Widening the Circle’ and look at all the circles we might expand personally and as a community.

Love! Period.

To celebrate Valentine’s day and the essence of who we are, today we explore LOVE in its many facets. What does love look like in the world? Join us for a special service and collection to appreciate health care workers and all they do for us particularly over these last 2 years.

Building Beloved Community

Reverend Dr. Martin Luther King’s goal was building Beloved Community. But what does building Beloved Community really mean? And what does it look like in the context of this congregation? Join us this MLK Day to celebrate this great prophet, explore his ideals and what they may mean for Chalice.

Christmas Eve Service – Joy to the World!

Join us to bring joy to the world as we celebrate Christmas Eve together. Come in person or join us online. Rumor has it that Santa may even try to squeeze in a visit. Those in person will share in traditional Christmas egg nog and cookies after the service.
