In January, our theme is the Practice of Story
Climate Justice Revival
Sunday morning at 10am
with Rev. Nica Eaton
In the midst of overlapping climate crises and mounting social injustice, we are in a time of great change and profound anxiety. Taking a note from those who have gone before us, the UUA Climate Justice Revival is meant to be a time to come together and re-commit. Join Chalice and hundreds of other UU congregations all over the country for a time of renewal and re-commitment at the intersection of the climate crisis and the deep justice commitments of our congregation.
Zoom ID: 209 555 249 Passcode: 2020

In January, we explored the Circle of Friends, or Quakers
Fun Facts:
*Quakers believe all of us hold an inner divine light through which we can hear the voice of God
*This is a small but mighty faith! For every 1 Quaker in the world, there are 2-3 UUs.
*One story explains that the founder George Fox was brought before an English court for heresy and the judge asked, “Aren’t you afraid of this court? Why aren’t you quaking in your shoes?” To which George Fox replied, “It is you, sir, who should be quaking in fear of the authority of God.” Hence, Quakers!
*Quaker Oats are not connected to Quakers. The early owners selected the Quaker name as a symbol of good quality and honest value, attributes of Quakers. However, the Quaker Oats man DOES look like portraits of William Penn, the Quaker who founded Pennsylvania.
