Chalice Family Update

February 27, 2025

In February, the theme has been the Practice of Inclusion

In March, the theme will be the Practice of Trust

What Can We Trust?

Sunday morning at 10am

with Rev. Nica Eaton

When the world around us is devolving into chaos, what can we trust? Trusting ourselves can feel impossible when we are overwhelmed by uncertainty, grief, or fear, yet deep within us lies a wisdom that has guided us through every challenge. This service explores how we can cultivate trust, not through control or certainty, but through deep presence, self-compassion, and an openness to life as it unfolds. Grounded in Unitarian Universalist values and the world’s wisdom traditions, we will reflect on how we can trust both ourselves and our community, moving beyond fear into a place of quiet confidence, resilience, and love.

Families welcome! The Joy Corner is open!

Children will be led by the Lamp of Love to their RE spaces partway through the service.

Come early to enjoy the first Sunday morning performance of As One Harmony! Chalice welcomes this wonderful children’s choir and look forward to many joyful Sundays together!

March 2–

What’s Your Superpower? – Learning to trust yourself is one of the greatest superpowers we have. Trusting in our abilities and positive qualities is a wonderful recipe for all the good we can bring into our lives. Imagine all the good we can give to the world when we trust in the goodness inside us!

Each week we will offer book suggestions for all ages, books that celebrate diverse identities, resist stereotypes, and uplift social justice. Whether you choose to purchase the books, borrow them from a friend, or check them out from your local library, we hope you enjoy these stories featuring characters from a wide range of communities.
