Chalice Family Update
April 17, 2025
In April, the theme is the Practice of Joy
Easter
Joy Springs from Adversity
Sunday morning at 10am
with Rev. Nica Eaton
Easter is a time when we reflect on the themes of suffering, death, and resurrection—how the story of Jesus’ crucifixion, which seemed like the ultimate loss, transformed into joy and renewal. For many of us, this moment represents the paradox of life itself—sometimes the worst thing can become the opening for something new, something beautiful, something full of joy. Join us this Easter as we celebrate our annual Flower Celebration to remember the beauty that arises from darkness. Please bring a flower to share.

Families welcome! The Joy Corner is open!
Children will be led by the Lamp of Love to their RE spaces partway through the service.
Children will return at the end of the service to join the congregation for the Flower Celebration.
April 20–
Colorful Fun – We will have some fun with creating colorful flowers. (Be sure to come back on the 27th for the beautiful results of our experiment!) After, we’ll play a few rounds of our fan favorite game–Bingo! And yes, prizes will be involved.
At the end of April, we will discontinue this list. We hope you have found some of your favorite books in these weekly offerings! If you would like further inspiration, please visit bookshop.org for a variety of stories for children, youth, and adults.
