Finding Our Way to Belonging

Sunday morning at 10am

with Grenda David

“Do I Belong Here?” This is a question many of us carry—sometimes quietly, sometimes without words. This Sunday, Grenda David invites us into a month-long celebration of Chalice as we launch our annual pledge season. Through music, personal story, and reflections on the spirit of the 1960s, the service explores belonging, courage, and the power of community to heal.

This is a welcoming space for people of all ages.
Children and youth have the option of staying for the entirety of the service or joining the Sunday WE program upstairs partway through.

March 1–

UU Values Sunday

Both WE Grow and WE Wonder will once again explore our UU values through games, and maybe an Odd Thing or two!

Want to give your kids an extra edge? Have your family talk about what the values mean to each of you, and how they might show up in your lives.

Gentle Reminder - West Prairie South Elementary

We are blessed to have so many members, friends, and visitors join us every Sunday! Many people in busy rooms can lead to great joy… and smalls messes. It would be greatly appreciated if everyone would extend a hand to help keep our communal spaces clean. We ask that you also remind your children that they put away any toys and games they are using in the Lounge and Room 4 before leaving. Many thanks to you and your family!

This Day in Unitarian Universalist History…

Linus Carl Puling was born in Portland, Oregon, on February 28, 1901. He was considered a genius in college and became an expert on x-ray diffraction, analyzing the spacing and orientation of atoms in crystalline materials. He helped integrate chemistry with quantum theory and founded the discipline now known as molecular biology. Pauling became assistant professor of theoretical chemistry at California Institute of Technology in 1927 and full professor in 1931. He published important works in chemistry and quantum mechanics. President Harry Truman awarded him the Medal of Merit for his contribution to the war effort. When the atomic bomb was developed, Pauling became a pacifist. He joined the First Unitarian Church of Los Angeles, California. In 1945 he received the Nobel Prize for Chemistry, and in 1973 he created the Linus Pauling Institute of Science and Medicine. Other honors include the National Medal of Honor from President Gerald Ford (1960) and the International Lenin Peace Prize (1971).
