Chalice has a long, beautiful musical tradition. Music is a central part of the ministry at Chalice which provides many opportunities to participate. The mission of this program is to use the power of music to better love and understand ourselves and the world around us.

 

Get Involved

Chalice Choir welcomes singers of all abilities. If you can match pitch, you can scratch your singing itch with us! Chalice Choir sings two Sundays per month, September through June. Rehearsals are held Wednesday evenings from 7:00-8:45pm.

Open Mic is held on the 3rd Sunday of the month. Signup starts at 5:30pm, and the show begins at 6:00pm. Performers of all ability levels are welcome. We regularly have poets, singers, instrumentalists and storytellers, but we encourage all types of artistic expression. If you don’t enjoy performing or sharing your art, come and participate as an audience member!

UUkuleles is a beginner ukulele group that meets on the 2nd Thursday of the month @7:00pm. During the summer, UUkuleles meet every Wednesday @7:00pm. The group performs several times a year at our Open mic night, Church services, Holiday concert and Cabaret.

Cabaret is an evening of food, fellowship and entertainment. Chalice is blessed with a talented congregation, and we get to see that talent on full display at our annual cabaret. This year’s theme is “Moss and Moonlight.”

Voices at Dusk is a quarterly gathering that centers around poetry and song, followed by a potluck dinner.

Choir Camp is an extended rehearsal that allows our choir to get a head start on the year’s music. We also have a potluck dinner, which is a great way to get to know one another. (This is an excellent time to join the choir!)

All Music Service “Honoring Our Ancestors Through Music”

Once a year, Chalice hosts a musical Sunday service where in lieu of a talk, we prepare extra music. This year’s music service will explore how different faith traditions deal with death and honoring ancestors.

Chalice Holiday Concert 12/21/25 @5:00pm
Join the Chalice Choir as we celebrate the holidays with both sacred and secular music of the season. There will be hot chocolate and holiday treats during the intermission with a cash soft bar. Advanced tickets will be available on our website 11/30/25. All proceeds go to the good and necessary work of Chalice.
