Military operations leave a toxic legacy on their bases and across the world.  Wars ravage fragile ecosystems and kill plants, animals, people and the earth.  Please join us as Cindy shares her insights into the nexus of U.S. militarism and climate disruption.

Cindy Piester is a lifetime activist who has devoted herself to climate issues in recent years.  She is a Board Member of the Unitarian Universalists for Just Economic Communities (UUJEC) and has submitted a proposal to present “Ending Imperialism and Oil Wars:  Restoring Earth’s Balance” at the next UU General Assembly.  Cindy is also a long-time associate member of Veterans for Peace
