Moving Day! – Many changes are happening in Fellowship Hall, including in our RE spaces! Children will help “move” some final items into our new RE Room, while saying goodbye and thank you to our old RE Room.
Each week we will offer book suggestions for all ages, books that celebrate diverse identities, resist stereotypes, and uplift social justice. Whether you choose to purchase the books, borrow them from a friend, or check them out from your local library, we hope you enjoy these stories featuring characters from a wide range of communities.

This day in UU history…
Happy birthday, Joseph F. Jordan! Jordan was born June 6, 1863, in Gates County, NC, of slave parents. One of the earliest black Universalist ministers, Jordan was distinguished for his work at the Suffolk Normal Training School in Suffolk, VA. The training school was part of a Universalist mission and educational center started by Thomas Wise, an assistant of the first African-American Universalist minister, Joseph H. Jordan (no relation) in 1898. Joseph F. Jordan became the principal of the school in 1904 and it flourished under his direction, providing educational opportunities to thousands of black children. Jordan remained the principal of the Suffolk Normal Training school until his death on May 1, 1929. ~ This Day In Unitarian Universalist History
