A place for wonder. A place for fun.

Welcome, welcome everyone!

Chalice Family Update

June 26, 2025

In June, the theme has been the Practice of Freedom

In July and August, the theme will be Summer Surprise

My Gay Brother’s Keeper

Sunday morning at 10am

with Merlin Snider

“We Are Everywhere,” read the bumper sticker on the bookshelf of my brother’s apartment in the early 70s. And yes, every family, nuclear or extended, includes our queer brothers and sisters. Whether we judge, ignore, embrace or celebrate the diversity among us is our choice, one that ripples out far beyond our lifetime. Clifton Snider was a principled and prolific teacher, poet, writer and activist who deeply touched the lives of many and made the world a better place for having sojourned among us. I am proud this month, and every month, to call him my brother.

Fun and Games – Let’s start summer having a bit of fun with our friends. There’s always time for a bit of silliness and whimsy!

Did you enjoy Sunday’s Time for All Ages?

We streamed a fantastic service from General Assembly in Baltimore.

Please enjoy the intoxicating storytelling from religious educator, Julie Rigano.

Changing Attitudes about Change

In case you missed it…

Over the summer we will begin transitioning our Religious Exploration program to Wisdom Exploration. These changes are in an effort to grow and adapt to our evolving times and open our doors even wider for people who might hesitate due to some outdated language. Very soon, you will begin to see these changes in the Family Update, News & Notes, the Chalice website, and throughout our building. Please know, we will continue to offer the same content fueled by our Unitarian Universalist values and the incredible community we are a part of.

Our mission: Wisdom Exploration empowers and supports people of all ages to create a world of justice and compassion.
