In a time when society is becoming more secular and polarized, we may wonder why our faith matters? What gifts does Unitarian Universalism offer that make it worth showing up, belonging, and participating? This Sunday we’ll explore these questions as we joyfully welcome new members into our community and welcome back returning Chalice members from as far back as the 1970s. Together we’ll reflect on how our UU values, mission, and community create a place of light, love, justice, and deep connection, offering a home for the soul in challenging times.
This is a welcoming space for people of all ages. Children and youth have the option of staying for the entirety of the service or joining the Sunday WE program upstairs partway through.
December 23–
Justice Sunday
Both groups will gather in Room 4 as we have fun with clay and create items for our future WE Market.
The WE Market will be held in May. This will be an opportunity for children and youth to sell all the art and wares they have created throughout the year. All proceeds will be evenly divided between the WE Scholarship Fund and a local non-profit chosen by the children and youth.
Welcome, Welcome, Everyone!
Please join us after the service this Sunday, December 14, for a Chalice community potluck. Bring your welcoming spirit and culinary gifts. We will be celebrating our newest members, some of our long time members and our whole Chalice community.
If you are able, bring a dish to share.
We hope you’ll stay after the service to enjoy some food and fellowship together.
Join this joyful all ages celebration from 6pm-9pm on Wednesday, December 31st in the Lounge . We’ll ring in the New Year with singing, noshing on pizza & sweet treats, glitter tattoos & watching the East Coast Feed of the ball drop. Bring a snack to share. All are welcome!
Our mission: Wisdom Exploration empowers and supports people of all ages to create a world of love, justice, and compassion.
