The Generous Heart

Sunday morning at 10am

with Rev. Rebecca Benefiel Bijur

Rev. Benefiel Bijur will be exploring the theme of “The Generous Heart,” anchored in the guiding idea of a critical mind and a generous heart. This service invites us to reflect on how intellect and rational thinking can coexist with openness of heart—how we can hold both at once. Rev. Benefiel Bijur will also speak to the mutuality of generosity and interdependence, as reflected in our Time for All Ages story, “A Special Trade.” Then lead us into deeper reflection with several essential questions: Is there a conflict between critical thinking and generosity—and if so, how might we resolve it? And what does generosity truly mean when we think in terms of treasure?

Children and youth have the option of staying for the entirety of the service or joining the Sunday WE program upstairs partway through.

We are blessed to have so many members, friends, and visitors join us every Sunday! Many people in busy rooms can lead to great joy… and smalls messes. It would be greatly appreciated if everyone would extend a hand to help keep our communal spaces clean. We ask that you also remind your children that they put away any toys and games they are using in the Lounge and Room 4 before leaving. Many thanks to you and your family!

Love At The Center: Reimagining the World As It Could Be

30 Days of Love is the UUA’s annual celebration that runs approximately from Martin Luther King, Jr. Day through Valentine’s Day with weekly offerings of spiritual nourishment, political grounding, and shared practices of faith and justice. Find this space each each during 30 Days of Love for activities, music, and videos for your family to “reimagine the world as it could be.”

Stewardship celebrations are happening throughout March!

Our fantastic Stewardship Team has been busy planning fun and festive activities each Sunday beginning March 1 and ending March 22. These activities are for friends of all ages! So plan on your family staying for lunch, music, and goodies after the service.
