The United States has reached agreement with its eleven partner countries, concluding negotiations of the Trans-Pacific Partnership. The TPP is a complex agreement which will impact our future. Congress will soon vote yes or no on the TPP. Amendments are not allowed.

How was the TPP negotiated? What is its purpose and main provisions?   How will it impact trade, finance, regulation, the price of medicine, and our lives? Will TPP affect human rights, hurt workers, increase inequality, and harm our environment?

President Obama thinks that the TPP is good for the USA. Many disagree with his arguments.  Dr. Brubaker will discuss the economic and ethical arguments against the TPP. She is professor emerita at California Lutheran University.
