In 2020, suicide was the 2nd leading cause of death in children ages 10-14.

Between 2007 and 2018, the suicide rate increased 60% among U.S. adolescents.

“What I Wish My Parents Knew” is a film by TellMyStory.org designed as a mental wellness program to help parents better understand how to support their children’s mental health.  Ten youth bravely share their stories struggling with anxiety and depression in silence and what they wish their parents would have known.

Sharon Beck, LCSW, and Grenda David, LFMT, lead the discussion to follow.
