Hope in Bloom – Flower Service

Sunday morning at 10am

with Sam Dickerson & Claudia Barton

During this time of Passover and Easter, we celebrate our Unitarian Universalist tradition of the flower ceremony. As we gather to honor the beauty of nature, let us also be reminded of the seeds of hope planted within our community. Please bring a flower for this treasured ritual of connection and renewal.

This is a welcoming space for people of all ages.
Children and youth have the option of staying for the entirety of the service or joining the Sunday WE program upstairs partway through.

Children and youth will return for the flower ceremony later in the service.

March 22–

Whatever you celebrate, we are so glad you are here!

Children and youth will go upstairs for a fun activity. Our time together will be brief! The group will return to the Sanctuary to join their families and Chalice community for the flower ceremony held during the last portion of the service.

Voting and Elections for Kids! - Richmond Public Library

Beginning April 12, each Sunday throughout April children and youth will vote on which local organizations will receive donations from our WE Market being held May 3. Each Sunday they participate in WE, they will have an opportunity to choose three of the six organizations on our “ballot”. At the end of April, all votes will be added. The top three organizations will receive a donation from the Chalice WE Program–1st place will receive 50% of the total proceeds, 2nd place, will receive 30%, and 3rd place will receive 20%.

If your family would like to suggest a local organization for the ballot, please email Sam at dre@chaliceuu.org. We ask that the organization be based in Ventura County or have a Ventura County chapter, be a nonprofit, and align with our Unitarian Universalist values.

This will be the final Bagel Buddies of the year!
