Deryck True

What To Do: Then And Now?

Sunday Service on Zoom at 10 a.m.

We are certainly living in interesting times, as the old Chinese curse has it. But we’ve been through turbulent and seemingly existential challenges before. Lay leader, Deryck True, examines the explosive America of the 1960s and his responses then, as a teenager, compared to our current threats and what he sees as his responsibilities and plans for tomorrow and the days to follow.

Cheating Death

We all know there are no guarantees in life. Facing deadly illness and other threats calls on us to be resilient and find the strength to carry on. I’ll explore my own often perilous challenges and how I survived to lead a life of joy and gratitude. Chalice congregation member Deryck True shares his experience.
