Chalice Family Update
October 8, 2026
Weaving the Threads of Our Community
Sunday morning at 10am
with Rev. Nica Eaton
From the luminous blue Earth seen from space to the hidden networks of mycelium beneath our feet, life reveals a sacred truth: we belong to one another. This service explores Interdependence, one of our core Unitarian Universalist values, and introduces Woven Faith, a new approach to bringing faith formation into every part of congregational life. We will explore how our unique gifts help us weave together into a more resilient tapestry of faith, care, courage, and justice. We also invite you to wear purple as Chalice celebrates Spirit Day!

This is a welcoming space for people of all ages. Children and Youth will have the option to leave for their WE spaces partway through the service.
October 11–
Justice Sunday
WE Grow will be in Room 1 doing their prep work for Bagel Buddies before moving down to the patio to help set up the tables.
WE Wonder will be in Room 4 doing their own prep work for Bagel Buddies before moving down to the patio to join WE Grow to set up the tables.
There is no Coming of Age this Sunday. Youth are invited to join their families in the service or can assist WE volunteers in WE Grow or WE Wonder.
This Sunday! Wear your purple!

Chalice is going purple!

It’s back! This Sunday!
2nd Sundays are Justice Sundays!
A delicious way our children and youth enjoy supporting community causes is by selling bagels after the service. Every other month, WE will vote for the organization it would like to support, then set up tables on the patio to raise money. Please expect your child or youth to stay 30-45 minutes after the service to help sell, serve, and clean up. Thank you!
This is love in action!

Wild Wintering: The Art of Adventure, Rest & Wonder
Saturday, December 19 – Monday, December 21, 2026
NEW CAMP for: Youth in Grades 6-8
What is being Wild in the Winter? How do you define wildness? The warm crackle of a woodfire…The crisp feeling of cold mountain air….the rich smell of the pine forest….the mysterious beauty of the night sky….
We welcome family campers to enjoy the weekend programming and stay in a family cabin with their youth (younger youth are welcome). We also welcome new parent/guardian volunteer staff to support the camp, get in on leading or assisting with activities with the youth campers! Contact Camping Ministries Director Laura Lunn if you would like more information!
