“Virtual” Service to Reconnect Amidst Tragedy

10am-11:30am

In what might be a first-ever for CVUUF, we will hold tomorrow’s service “virtually”.

At first it looked like we might be able to have services here tomorrow. However, the winds have changed again and we have been in close contact with the VC Fire Department to get their recommendations. Because of the constantly changing winds and the fact that CVUUF is still in a mandatory evacuation zone, we have decided to cancel in person services tomorrow.

We will however be gathering on Zoom (an internet group platform) from 10 – 11:30. You can join us by phone or live on camera. We will light a chalice, share stories, hear uplifting readings, sing together, mourn the tragedies of these past few days and be in community even when we are physically apart. You can join us at any time during that window, or be with us for the whole time. And if you have CVUUF neighbors nearby, you may want to invite them over so you can have some fellowship, while we’re on the Zoom call together. If you know people who do not have internet, please let them know the phone number they can call tomorrow.
