Speaker: Rev. Nica Eaton

Pilgrimage to Wholeness

Rev. Nica intended her Sabbatical to be a “Pilgrimage to Wholeness”. But being whole inevitably requires a journey through brokenness and disintegration to understand more fully what wholeness means. Experiencing cancelled plans, broken feet and her marriage completing, she explores whether wholeness is even a destination we can aspire to. Join Rev. Nica as she shares insights into what becoming a whole human being involves. Please bring your backpacks or work bags, for a special blessing of the backpacks during our Time for All Ages.

Pajamas & Pets – the Animal Blessing

What’s better than curling up with your animals on a Sunday morning in your pajamas? Today we celebrate and bless the animals in our lives, while wearing pajamas to Chalice if you wish. You may bring your pets to Chalice if they’re able to be in public spaces safely, or show them to us on screen. Please send us a photo of any beloved animals who have passed, whom you wish to memorialize. Send pictures to admin@chaliceuu.org. We look forward to celebrating the difference animals make in our lives, while we cosy up with one another.

Finding your Place

“There is something in every one of you that waits and listens for the sound of the genuine in yourself. It is the only true guide you will ever have. And if you cannot hear it, you will all of your life spend your days on the ends of strings that somebody else pulls.” Howard Thurman. The Rev. Kikanza Nuri-Robins helps people and organizations that are in transition — or ought to be. As a community minister, she works as an organization development consultant based in Los Angeles. She spends her discretionary time playing with color and textiles in her studio.

Intention… Spiritual Growth
